In 2007, former foster youth came Home for the Holidays to Washington D.C., to remind our parents, the federal government, about the need to foster connections to success.

Participants traveled from states including Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and Ohio, to draw attention to a holiday – and a time of year – that is often filled with disappointment for the 513,000 children currently in the nation’s foster care system.
